The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. Psalm34:17-19. Lord I handle my spiritual trials by asking You for help. You are the only One that can rescue me each and every time. You don't take away my broken heart but You are close to me through it to help me learn what I must from it. Get rid of all bitterness, rage, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. I can control my tongue by not allowing bitter thoughts to grow rage in my heart producing harsh words that slander others and cause me to have evil behavior. When I sow in a seed of love, I think how can I love, I speak words in love and I act in love. When I sow in a seed of bitterness, I think of all done to me to make me bitter, I speak bitterly toward others and act in bitterness. I know the Word of the Lord is alive because as I read it each time the same words can say different things to me at different times in my life. I know the Word of the Lord is powerful because in a time of fear I can say His name and have peace to sleep, in anger I can speak His Word and find thankfulness, in sorrow I can sing His word and have joy anew. Hebrews9:14.The blood of Jesus for me is the picture of the Trinity - the sacrifice God needed to forgive us, the sacrifice Christ made to open heaven to us, the sacrifice that made the Spirit available for us.
