Christ is also the head of the church, which is the body. He is the beginning, firstborn from the dead. So he is first in everything. Colossians1:10,18. Lord You rescued You me when I had no hope. The darkness that I was in was my fault but You didn't point blame You just loved me. You transferred my heart and soul in the midst of my circumstances before You provided me a way out of them. In the kingdom of Your Son I am Your daughter and I have been Your daughter in plenty and in little but You have never left me. I am so blessed that You are the head of my church, Your body, others You have transferred from darkness to light. They are an encouragement to me, strength to me, and a hope to me. They are You in the flesh. You are first in everything from the moment You spoke time into existence to the end of time when You will reign eternal but especially in me. Lord all around me are disasters: oil spills, hurricanes, earthquakes, violence, joblessness, and hopelessness. I think Lord that hopelessness is worst of all because it takes my eyes off of Your faithfulness and focuses on the problem not the solution. You are the solution. Your faithful love for me remains when nothing else around me does. You will never break Your covenant of blessing with me. Lord I don't always feel blessed especially in the midst of devastation but You are so faithful when I am faltering. Though everyone around me may fail , You will never break Your covenant with me. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what's right. Psalm 84:11. Lord You are my sun to light my day in this dark world and grow me through the trials I walk through each day. Lord You are my shield from the attacks of those against me. You give me grace I don't deserve, can't earn or repay. It really is all I need and the best thing I can give. You will be blessed if you obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today. But you will be cursed if you reject the Lord your God and turn away from Him and worship gods you have not known before. Deuteronomy 11:26-28. Lord thank You for speaking to me so clearly each and every day. Today is the day, a new day, tomorrow has its own worry and yesterday can't be changed. I choose Your blessing Lord. I have lived with the curse of sorrow, hurt, despair, and fear for too long. When I started this journey with You, I wrote because to speak only brought tears. But through this walk of obedience I have been so blessed. I would have never have chose this road to walk to get here but I would not have become who I am this morning if I hadn't. 6/14/10 – What do I do when I don't understand God's ways? – Ask me and I will tell you remarkable things you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3 –Lord I ask You and I can't explain how that is to someone that doesn't meet with You consistently, they don't understand. I can ask You in written prayer, in my heartfelt words, in silence within my thoughts. I can ask You because talking to is as natural as talking to my Jimmy. You answer me just as amazingly. You speak to me through Your word by allowing me to read in my daily time with You just the right word, like today, that speaks to my need. You speak to me through these times while I write and pray, I can feel You leading and guiding me. You speak to me the midst of a trial and all I can do is call out and I know You are there because I have a peace. You speak to me through those that have a relationship with You as they share how You impact them. You speak to me when I just sit quiet enough to hear. The remarkable things You tell me that I don't know aren't always the answers that I seek but are always the ones I need. Then I find the answers I seek aren't so important. 6/11/10 -What do I do when I am deserted by loved ones? –Those who know Your name trust in You, for You, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for You. Psalm 9:10 – Lord I have never met You face to face and can't pretend to understand You, Your reasons or why and how everything is as it is. I know that in the most low, most fearful, most painful times of my life I had to only say the name of JESUS and I felt calm; peace to rise up, to sleep peaceful, to accept healing. I trust You to work out all things for Your good purpose, to restore what the world eats away at me each day, to prepare an eternal home for me nothing can destroy or take away. You don't abandon me, let me down, or fail. Help me to forgive those that fall short when I am in need and quickly remind me how very many times I fall short for You and You love me with an everlasting love. I search for You in the beauty of this morning, in the mid day break from the constant, and at the end of the day home safe with my loved ones, You are the only One that is, will and always walk me through my day. 6/10/10 – What do I do when I have marital problems? – Then the Lord God said, "It is not good for man to be alone. I will make a helper that is just right for him." Genesis 2:18. Lord You spoke everything into existence. You speak to the wind to be still, You speak to the dead to rise, and You speak to those in need to be healed. It is not good for those You have called to be married to be alone. Time apart from my beloved is consumed with when we can be together again. I want to be his helper, not mother, not maid, not roommate. Show me and speak to me on how I can best help, serve and come alongside my Jimmy as his best friend, his lover, his soul mate. When disagreements do come, remind me Lord that You made me just right for him and he for me. Our relationship is for better, worse, sickness, health, forsaking all others, as long as we live not that of my kids, friends, or family.

Once I was young and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the godly abandoned or their children begging for bread. Psalm 38:25-Lord You have, You are and You always will provide. Lord I know that You will not abandon our family. These are tough times, stretching our faith and I ask for forgiveness for losing focus for Your ultimate goal which is to draw us ever closer to You. 6/7/10- What do I do when I have troubles in my life? We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. 2Corinthians 4:8-9 – Lord I am pressed on both sides with trying to please myself and my family and others while trying to live how You have called me. Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that He has promised. Hebrews 10:35-36 Lord my confident trust comes from being in Your word, being in prayer, and then seeing and believing in the miracles in my life. My reward is Your kingdom not my paycheck, not my things, not even my family or friends because all these will pass away. I lack patient endurance; I don’t even think I understood it until I had my teenagers. But now Lord I have a better understanding and am clinging to my need to do Your will in the midst all the uncontrollable circumstances in my life. These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world but Your Father already knows your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and He will give you everything you need. 6/2/10 What do I do when I am grieving? Sing for joy, O heavens! Rejoice O earth! Burst into song O mountains! For the Lord has comforted His people and will have compassion on them in their suffering. Isaiah 49:13 Lord I sing for joy that this is not my home. Lord I rejoice that You are my God and You hold all things in the the palm of Your hand and no one can snatch me from Your hand. Lord I burst into a song of thanksgiving for all the things I do have instead of a song of lamenting the things I don't have. Lord You have comforted me when I lost loved ones, when I couldn't change decisions or actions made, and when I felt hopeless. 6/1/10 What do I do when I feel lukewarm spiritually? But watch out! Be careful to never forget what yourself have seen. Do not let these memories escape from your mind as long as you live! And be sure to pass them on to your children and grandchildren. Deuteronomy 4:9 Lord I have seen hearts change that i never thought would, lives born by Your grace alone, provision when there was none, You divinely watching over my kids when I always can't, friends who come alongside at just the right time, all my needs met, some wants met, too. Lord let me not be lukewarm toward You. Lord let me always remind my children and myself of how You are who I am on fire for and to be cold toward You is denying all the wonder You have blessed me with thus far.
