Who is the Christ in Christmas to me?

12/24/10 For a Child is born to us, a Son is given to us, and He will be called: Wonderful, Counselor, Almighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah9:6. You are the innocence of a child, the heritage of a son, the wonder of creation, the counsel of true wisdom, the might of a word, the God of all, the everlasting outside of time, the Father of loving discipline, and the peace that surpasses understanding.

Am I guilty to God? And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins. Heb. 8:12. The Lord forgives and forgets everytime I ask.

How does God guide me? We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps. Proverbs 16:9. Lord as I make plans I know my steps are in Your hands.

Why does the Lord want me to avoid gossip?

12/8/10 Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies! Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. Psalm 34:12-14. Lord You work all things for good for those that love You and are called to Your purpose; Your good intention is for me to have a long and prosperous life. When I speak evil gossip it separates, I want to either speak in love or keep silent in confidence. Gossip is lies because it's only my side, love turns from the evil I can say to slam others to the good I can do for them or the silence I can keep to honor You. Peace brings us together; gossip causes wars that separate. How does the Lord ask me to forgive?

Lord as a child of God You don't judge my sins but whether my actions are for You, me or others. Forgive me for judging others words and actions. Lord I admit I am a sheep in need of a shepherd. I hear You when You guide me to make right decisions, to avoid making wrong ones, to be patiently still in Your peace, and to pray for change. You know me better than I know myself and love me anyway. You give me eternal life; I can't buy it, earn it, I don't deserve it, I can't repay it. Lord You are the only sure confidence I have against my physical enemies, my spiritual enemies, my financial enemies, and my mental enemies. Lord I need Your help today. I don't know how all this is to work out but You do and You can work it for the good because I love You. I will not fear the pain, I will not fear the attacks of Satan, I will not fear the money we don't have, and I will not fear the anxiety that comes. People bring pain but You bring healing. Satan brings attacks but You bring hope. Unemployment limits our funds but You provide our needs. Anxiety tries to overwhelm but You overcome. Why do I receive God’s correction?

I celebrate Sean doing right and sharing his bible with an atheist at boot camp, Josh doing right and taking steps for his future now that he is a senior, Trinity doing right and turning herself around not only making honor roll but making wise life changes, and for Cindy's heart being right enough to stand before others and worship and do a bible study with her boyfriend who loves the Lord.
