How does the Lord provide for me?

11/29/10 He gives food to those who fear Him; He always remembers his covenant. Psalm 111:5. Lord You provide my physical need for food. Lord You are also the Bread of Life to feed my soul through Your word and my time with You. My fear of You Lord doesn't involve terror but trust. Trust that You as my Father will do, be and act as You promise You will. You never fail me. Your promise to be my spiritual Father makes me Your child. How can I have no fear in the Lord?

11/20/10My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me. John 10: 27-28. Lord I admit I am a sheep in need of a shepherd. I hear You when You guide me to make right decisions, to avoid making wrong ones, to be patiently still in Your peace, and to pray for change. You know me better than I know myself and love me anyway. You give me eternal life; I can't buy it, earn it, I don't deserve it, I can't repay it. How can the Lord help me face my enemies?

11/19/10So we can say with confidence," The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?" Hebrews 13:6. Lord You are the only sure confidence I have against my physical enemies, my spiritual enemies, my financial enemies, and my mental enemies. Lord I need Your help today. I don't know how all this is to work out but You do and You can work it for the good because I love You. I will not fear the pain, I will not fear the attacks of Satan, I will not fear the money we don't have, and I will not fear the anxiety that comes. People bring pain but You bring healing. Satan brings attacks but You bring hope. Unemployment limits our funds but You provide our needs. Anxiety tries to overwhelm but You overcome. How can the Lord help me face death?

11/18/10Whom have I in heaven but You? I desire You more than anything on earth. My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; He is mine forever. Psalm 73:25-26. Lord thank You that I have direct access to You as Your child. Forgive me for letting my priorities get out of whack and desiring things more than You. Thank You for the reminder You give that when my health fails it's because this is not my home. Thank You that when my spirit grows weak Your strength is made perfect through me. Why do I receive God’s correction?

11/15/10For the Lord corrects those He loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights. Proverbs 3:12. Lord I receive Your correction and know that my way is imperfect but You are the Way, the Truth and the Light. I don't enjoy the correction but help me to learn quickly what You are trying to teach me; I am willing to learn and change. How can the Lord provide me contentment?

11/10/10Don't love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, "I will never fail you, I will never abandon you." Hebrews 13:5. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM - What do You, Lord, see as a child’s duties?

Lord I am so grateful for where my children are right now; for the wisdom each of them has gained so far from their life experiences in You. I celebrate Sean doing right and sharing his bible with an atheist at boot camp, Josh doing right and taking steps for his future now that he is a senior, Trinity doing right and turning herself around not only making honor roll but making wise life changes, and for Cindy's heart being right enough to stand before others and worship and do a bible study with her boyfriend who loves the Lord. Why do I have my children?

11/3/10Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him. Psalm 127:3. Lord forgive me because so often I fail to see what a blessing to my life my children are and I don't value enough the few years You have given me to love them in my home. They are a reward I couldn't earn and couldn't imagine being without.
